Elementary Art: Marblized Easter Eggs
Hey Everyone! I know we are all stuck at home and a lot of us our wanting to find a way to celebrate Easter with our loved one. I assume everyone is coloring eggs so this project might be a fun side project to do as well. I think it takes painting eggs to another level! I hope you all participate and enjoy. Happy Easter Everyone!
Materials
These are the materials you will need for this project.
-Shaving Cream
-White Paper
-Scissors
-Paint
-Popsicle Stick
-Table Cloth or Large Container (This is just to help with it being a bit messy)
Shaving Cream
You’ll need to make a big rectangle shape using the shaving cream.
Add Paint
You can use whatever colors you would like for this step. You can add different colors or one color. Only add little drops.
Perfect!
This is what you should be left with.
Popsicle Stick
Use the popsicle stick to swirl the paint into your shaving cream.
Be Careful!
If you mix too much it will look like a muddy color. We want to be able to see all of the colors still but have them marbleized together.
Add Paper
After you swirl it how you’d like, place your paper on the shaving cream.
Press Down
Press down to make sure it covers your paper.
Remove Paper
Pull paper out of the shaving cream.
Scrape It
I would place it on something you don’t mind getting dirty. I used a Tupperware lid that I can wash later. Don’t forget we are using paint so it can get messy. Take a popsicle stick and scrape it all off.
The Design
You’ll be left with your awesome marbled design!!
Grab Your Scissors
We want to cut our sheet of paper into an egg shape.
Perfect!
Look at that marbled look!
Add Details
You can use more paint to decorate the egg. I chose to use a Q-Tip to paint with because I can just toss it away when I finish. You can use that or a paintbrush.
Design/Patterns
Add a fun design to your project. I like to use patterns.
Outline
I think outlining your egg shape makes it more defined but that is optional!
Do more!
You can do as many as you want. You can probably even use the same shaving cream or even add white shaving cream to the top and add more color.
Finished!
I hope you enjoyed this project. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and stay safe. Stay tuned for more projects.
